Practical 6 teaches me about using invisible web, or databases. I find that it has less information, in terms of pages, but more relevant than using a search engine. If i were to rank it, i'd say that Databases rank about the same as meta search engines. They both can give me the right information i want. However, Databases are better in a sense that it can give relevant information and articles. Unlike subject directories, databases are not restricted by categories.
I have decided on using ProQuest for my topic. Why? I feel that it tops the rest, when researching on my topic, when it comes to ease of use. It's information is also up to date. The information it gives is also more relevant than most others.
If i were to pick a database for my course, i would still choose ProQuest. LexisNexus is also an option for me. Both show reliable information when concerning my course. The others such as EBSCO, do show results as well but ProQuest and LexisNexus show more relevant results.
